Great list – judging by what I’ve seen. As compelling as it is, I feel Handmaid’s Tale is a bit too high, because it gets slightly one-dimensional for me. This is genuine nitpicking, but this is peak TV! The Leftovers are a greater achievement in my book, even if the S3 wasn’t as astonishing as S2. I would be very happy to see individual lists like you do for movies – even if it just means all the lists in a single post. Your writers are clearly on the same page, but there are also obvious differences, so I would enjoy that tremendously.

Where’s Westworld? And by far the best show I have seen in years was Dark. Complex and challenging, it made my brain brain explode — in a good way!

I can see how individuals might not like Mr Robot, I’m kinda surprised that as a collective The Playlist didn’t ‘get’, season 3 was fantastic. I think Star Trek Discovery deserves a mention somewhere, far more enjoyable and well constructed than I imagined it would be.

The Leftovers tops my list though, superb television that worked (for me) as a rewarding TV show (as opposed to a 10 hour binge movie).
