A dislike \’B\’ rating makes me want to see it even more! I think the reviewer needed to allow some time for reflection. Also, To The Wonder was a great film if only Ben Affleck didn\’t ruin each frame with his \’clinch a penny in his butt-cheeks\’ stance.

As a Malick fan I honestly can\’t defend some of the criticisms aimed at him or this film…I think it\’s safe to say we now know what the Music film with Ryan is going to be…If was making these films in the 70s for very little money it would be fine but there is a real lack of cohesion and character and storytelling to these later films…I see these as Malicks redemption movies…I wonder is there time left to make another final great narrative and plot driven work but that contains his signature …I doubt it but we can always hope…

Woohoo. Six comments in and we already have "the emperor has no clothes" and "if you like movies I don\’t like, you must be a sheep." Must be a thread about Terrence Malick. As amusing as die-hard Malick evangelism is, the anti-evangelism of his detractors is somehow even more entertaining – and snobby, and mindless.

This sounds absolutely horrible. And that comes from someone who loves The Thin Red Line. To me, that film asked all these same existential questions about life, love and most importantly, war, but also engaged you and had brilliant DIALOUGE!!! It seems Malick has completely lost the plot and apparently has taken his herd of sheep with him. Enjoy.
