debdessaso, He does remind me of Day-Lewis. Both are very very fine actors of…well, any generation. I would say one of the best, not THE best though. Would love to see them in the same film as well.

Benedict is indeed the best actor of his generation–though I won\’t say of ANY generation, at least not yet. Previous generations have had their share of great actors (e.g. Guiness, Olivier, Branaugh). Mine generation had (and still has) Daniel Day-Lewis, who is a favorite of mine. This generation has its very own Benedict (who reminds me of Day-Lewis). I love his portrayal of Sherlock, I can hardly wait to see Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, especially since I love the mini-series and the character of Peter Guillam, who Benedict will play in the movie. My idea of the perfect movie would star both Benedict and Daniel!

Cumberbatch is the best actor of his generation – hell any generation. He\’s very versatile at home in comedy and drama. I love seeing all the girls go nuts for him on tumblr. Its about time he became a huge world wide star.
