Sorry but I never got the hype for Cumberbatch. While I don't think he's a bad actor, I don't think he's as good as people try to make him out to be. I know a lot of people buy into his hype because of Sherlock(which IMO season 3 sucked) & because he's a brit. For some reason some think Brit actors are the best actors in the world. Bullcrap. If any actors excite me coming out of the UK they are Tom Hardy, James Mcavoy, Michael Fassbender & Tom Hiddleston. All 4 of those choose interesting projects and are better actor IMO.

I can't get excited about this. Now a Boston gangster movie with Jeremy Renner and Sam Rockwell playing brothers really would interest me. They can both do the accent and they are both excellent at playing unstable, dangerous criminals and psychos, so it wouldn't matter which one played the bad guy because you would never be sure the good guy wouldn't lose it too. Plus they could have got both of them for much less than a Depp.

For someone who thinks Benedict is overrated as an actor – name the movies and t.v. shows you have seen him in…and there are many over the last 10 years. If you haven't seen "Hawking" ..its on the Internet. If he had done nothing but that he'd be thought of as a fantastic actor. He is considered by Other Actors to be one of the great actors of his time. He won't disappoint.

Too bad about Pearce. Cumberbatch seems a less obvious and less appropriate choice, and we don't get to see Pearce all that often anyway.
