Wow I'm shocked that this received such a negative review. The movie brought so much magic and emotion that I ended up crying because of the happy ending. Which believe me has never happened before. I personally thought that the amount of detail that went into the set design and costumes were phenomenal. Not to mention the plot holes that were filled through out the movie, I felt that I was actually watching someone fall in love rather than the original where BOOM one song and she's in love. Idk plus I was very shocked to see the progressive elements they sprinkled throughout the movie. I know they are small but I was still shocked, I didn't expected Disney to do this for atleast a couple of years. The fact that you say that the movie takes elements from the original and stretches them out for an unbearable two hours makes me wonder what you thought you were watching? This isn't some cheesy Disney live action knock off, it's literally the adaptation from the original. Of course the beats are going to be the same, it's was a wonderful take on the classic animation. It had a phenomal selection for its cast, the music was enchanting. There's something about Emma's voice that was was so natural. They didn't need a professional singer, Emma's voice and emotions made the songs meaning hit 3x harder. It filled plot holes and gave life and back story to once flat 2D characters.

If you really loved the original, you should love this one too. This is basically the exact same movie with very few things changed (and whatever was changed made sense actually, that's what surprised me the most). There was more they could have changed to make it not look like a story extracted from an animation (which can be a bit too unrealistic), but I guess that would probably not please some of the fans of the original (myself included).

Don't be fooled by the trailer; or the critic, which can rate a movie an average of 95 and then rate the [almost exactly] same movie a 65, because of *details* that in the end do not matter for those who actually watch it for enjoyment, not for their jobs as critics/reviewers. Watch the movie and have an opinion of your own. If you then say it really sucks, at least you know what you are talking about.

I'm surprised to read that Emma Watson is the best part of the movie. I don't think she is a good actress. For the clips that I've watched, she looks very stiff in this role.
I was excited for this movie, but after watching the trailers and some of the clips, it looks bad and it definitely looks like it doesn't contribute in anything new to the story.
