His company IS the only visual FX firm on the deadpool series, no? It’s plausible he got greedy but I can’t see it, doesn’t seem like actual drama, no one important is pointing fingers, all speculation. In fact it’s pretty irresponsible to create drama.

From everything else I’ve read Tim Miller doesn’t seem to be the guy who wants an unreasonable budget.

I think what Fox is trying to hide is the drama between Miller and Reynolds since the making of first Deadpool movie, as slightly mentioned in The Wrap article:

Gianopulos had been a “peacekeeper” between director and star during the production on the first film.

Another party close to Fox said executives did not have to step in to manage relationships until well after the first film’s release.

Seems questionable.
Whatever it was that caused the rift clearly Fox’s agenda is to make it appear that if there was a wrong it was on Tim Miller’s side. The money the movie will make is what matters so they’ll be on Ryan Reynolds side whatever it was.
Just seems odd that after all of Tim Miller’s talk of “Why should a movie like this cost $200 million? Look at what we can do with less than a third of that.” he would suddenly demand a mega-budget.
