This is a visual medium. I think people forget that at times when criticizing films. Mr Snyder has a unique (albeit narrow at times) skill set within this medium. Not to many have nailed it quite the way he has. And for that I think he deserves a little more credit. While it may not leave the lasting impression of someone like a Nolan, it can be very entertaining to those recognizing its strengths. If a steak is seasoned and cooked to perfection and that\’s what you hoped for great. But if you expect a tub of hot buttered popcorn to be a steak than the only person your kidding is yourself.

i enjoyed dawn of the dead and 300 and the beginning of man of steel – henry cavill just doesn\’t work as superman for me. are these films good? not really, but that\’s all relative. many people enjoy his work. he does seem to have a limited toolbox unlike Nolan who at least tries new techniques, whether he fails or not is up to the viewer, i guess.
