This comment is ignorant, and you should feel lousy for making it. Sonnenfeld actually brings a clear sense of style to every project and genre that he tackles: wide lenses, esoteric framing choices, very precise editing, demanding fast-paced delivery from his actors etc. Yes, he hasn't made a decent film in a long time (probably since the first 'Men in Black'), but you imagine that the scripts haven't exactly been flying through his offices since 'Wild Wild West'. When you think of 'voiceless' filmmakers, would you honestly place Sonnenfeld above, say, Wiseman, Levy, Francis Lawrence, McG, Ratner, Sommers, Paul W.S. Anderson, Rob Cohen or Nispel? (I could go on). Yeah, didn't think so.
