The 'other' person in Goldfrapp, Will Gregory, has composed for TV & film soundtracks, most notably the Emily Blunt/ Paddy Consindine film 'My Summer of Love'(2004).

Retro-wise, Goldfrapp's first LP 'Felt Mountain' may as well have been titled "Mondo Morricone Vol 4", released as it was around the time of the first two Portishead and Massive Attack LPs and the consequent soundtrack/library record mania that swept British music around that time.
Goldfrapp's Electro-glam trappings are a more recent, and more successful, affectation.
