Originally commissioned by the <strong>San Francisco Film Society</strong>, which simply wanted a celebratory collage highlighting San Francisco on the screen throughout the years, the film took a different shape under the guidance of <strong>Guy Maddin</strong> and his collaborators, <strong>Evan and Galen Johnson</strong>.</p>
