Interesting. There have been a ridiculous number of 47 Ronin movies (before the war it was a yearly ritual in Japan) but the only one I know anything about was the Kenji Mizoguchi one, so it's cool that the story is getting reintroduced even with the headscratcher of Keanu in feudal Japan. That said, I think Universal is insane for given them as much money as they did. I mean this is about as niche as big-budget pictures get and Keanu isn't a sure-fire draw anymore.
