The Departed was a mediocre piece of shit. It's rare to see a remake so overblown yet underwritten, so full of gaping plot holes, that squanders one of the best male casts of the decade & boasts Jack Nicholson's worst ever screen performance. Way to go, Marty. The original, whilst no masterpiece, was at least a tightly constructed story with two terrific lead performances & a perfectly paced runtime. Infernal Affairs is excellent, Scorsese's remake is abysmal.

I can see a High and Low remake working really well, if done right. But I'm pretty sure Chris Rock isn't the guy to write it.

Indeed, that 13 Tzameti remake has the most macho non-Expendables cast ever. Just pure biceps and biceps.

Also, this is one sexy-ass feature.

I agree with almost all of this list, except for Solaris and Vanilla Sky, absolutely hated them both while loving the originals.

And I looked up some of those unreleased ones, and the director of 13 Tzameti is doing the remake himself? With Mickey Rourke and Jason Statham!?
