The reason the Academy left Affleck off the noms was because for the first time the Oscar ballots were due before the DGA announced their nominees. Thus, the members couldn't just copy off them but instead were left to make their own choices and basically they fucked up. Bet this is the last time they are gonna let this happen.

Termination of the criminal treachery and treason demands immediate priority.
