Black Widow is a super spy. Her movie would have to be something in along that line and therefore not exactly a super hero film which I suppose makes for a problem for Marvel executives. Even for Captain America they had to make a political thriller and now pin him against Iron Man. CA and BW can\’t have a movie as "pure" as Iron Man and Thor. Another problem is time, you can\’t just make a BW movie in six or seven years, there has to be a plan from now, or it will become too late.

The thing is whether they can see repeat success if someone like Sebastian Stan was running around as Captain America instead of Evans. I have strong doubts on that and despite Feige\’s insistence that the cast is largely replaceable, execs will try their damnedest to keep certain people as long as they possibly can. Marvel can\’t play history wipe with their film universe like they\’re in the middle of doing with their comics (where they\’re practically cleaning house in regard to all characters and teams they don\’t have film rights for) without upsetting the balanced system they\’ve labored so hard to get in place.
