I gotta question not relating to this movie so much as part of your comment – ‘progressives.’ Why do progressives have anything to do with this? Have something to “prove”?

Not being antagonistic, I consider myself fairly “left”-leaning, but really don’t see how this is relevant.

That was my complaint last year with Moonlight. Saw it the weekend it came out, amazing film. Oscar rolls around and everyone has an opinion on a movie that made little to no box office. The fake twitter outrage era is nauseating. If you want to have an opinion about something at least see it or be knowledge. Defending a movie you haven’t seen is just as bad as trashing one you haven’t seen. At least 2 people are seeing Annihilation lol

Here’s a chance for progressives to prove we’re not full of hot air. Support this film.

I know all female driven too so let’s come for this instead of middling stuff like WW. Love the books and hoping it connects with an audience but cerebral never does it seems.
