The Assassination of Jesse James is one of the most affecting films of the past decade. It deserves to have a release on DVD that merits its genius.

Really Hope Criterion gives the love the Jesse James it deserves, such a fantastic release and WB did such a shitty job on the Blu-ray.

It's astounding how underrated "Jesse James" still is. It is one of the greatest films made in years but it feels like it really is going to be one of those sad cases where it will take an age before it receives the true recognition it deserves.

The way he manages Jesse James to feel intensely real and simultaneously mythic makes it one of the best films made in ages. People will realize how good it is eventually.
