A) I love the song and it just sounds like it belongs in a movie (I don't think it's ever been in one) and B) I'm sure Cameron Crowe just coming off of his Pearl Jam doc revisited it himself and wanted to give it a fresh beginning (much like he did with Elton John's Tiny Dancer). And you can't really criticize the use or placement of the song in the film because every single song save for Don't Come Around Here No More and Hoppipola seemed like they were just randomly thrown in the film. Easily is worst film as far as far as actual music useage goes. But still a great collection of songs.

I almost jumped out of my seat when I heard it because I fell in love with them over the last several months and had been listening to the band non-stop before (and since). It's probably the best part of the film for me.

I know it must have been a huge task, especially putting links to all the songs below.

Is it just me or has the definition of a "soundtrack" changed meanings? For instance, it used to be that when I bought a soundtrack, I got the various artists singing the songs that were in the forefront or a direct part of the movie, not the background music. There should be a distinction because the latter certainly has its place and sets the movie tone but it shouldn't be sold as the soundtrack. We can't even get the various artists' songs on a CD or I wouldn't be complaining. Or maybe I'm just too set in my ways 😉
