It's frustrating because all of those actresses knew all about the allegations against Woody Allen. Everyone has, for a long time. But because he wasn't charged, we learned to live with it (because, again, #MeToo hardcores - innocent until proven guilty is still a pretty important thing). All of those actresses now saying they regret it and donating their money back just seems to me like horrible backpedalling. It's not like, say, Robin Wright regretting working with Kevin Spacey, when she clearly didn't know the allegations yet. But ALL of these women heard of it, knew it, and spent years gushing about how much they loved Woody Allen....until #MeToo happened, and now suddenly it was a very bad thing they have to pay for. Come on, world. This kind of "oh is that the popular thing to do now, guess I better do it" completely disparages #MeToo and is, frankly, ruining what should be an important and powerful statement.

Finally, someone has stood up for Woody Allen! The actors in recent weeks denouncing his films and his character has been shameful. What do they know? Fuck all. They are simply choosing to believe one man's story over another. Nothing but knee jerk reactions from panicked PR's! Disgusting.

One has to be very careful about being heckled and coerced into believing these stories(allegations). That is the tyranny of the majority. Another more subtle form of abuse, but an abuse of power. If we are not careful, artists like Woody Allen(regardless of what you think of his films) will be ostracised.

Kudos, Baldwin, kudos.
