Definitely not happening. Scorsese\’s 75, only got so many films left. He should probably do something original. Plus the idea of a Pacino/DeNiro team-up circa HEAT was a big deal, but now they\’re really old dudes who are not box-office draws at all. Look at the work they\’ve made of late. All small indies.

I don\’t see this project ever happening. The cast and director are getting older and it doesn\’t seem like this is a priority for Scorsese.

If ever in the history of cinema, a movie should hurry up and be made, this is it. Am I the only one that realizes the age of all the actors involved? All due respect and much love to each one respectively, but for this alone Scorsese should hurry up. Bad enough he takes forever to get each picture off the ground, but by the time he gets going, the actors will be even older. Get it done

The Irishman and I heard You paint Houses are the same thing (the film title and the book title, respectively). But Frankie Machine was something else from a decade ago, that likely will never happen.

Frankie Machine is a script adapted from the book The Winter of Frankie Machine. The Irishman is a script adapted from the book I Heard You Paint Houses. And the most exciting part about this potential project would be Scorsese and Pacino working together for the first time, at least for me.

The Irishman, I Heard You Paint Houses, Frankie Machine…so many amazing potential projects for Scorsese and De Niro to team up why haven\’t they done it already? Heck De Niro should have been cast as the elder priest in Silence! It could have very much been like a Brando in Apocalypse Now type of role based on the book.
