Part of the fun of Tarantino is his all-out, over-the-ramparts, howling approach toward film making, and that includes the projects that don't ever quite make it off the ground.

I mean, come on, did you ever hang out with artists? That's what they do, man, that's what they do! "Someday I'd love to re-write East of Eden with vampires." "I've decided to reinvent Impressionistic painting using only black and white paint." It's all part of being an artist!

Ain't it grand? I mean, it's just positively too Tarantino-tastic for words!

On Allocine (a french website) in 2006 there was a rumor he was considering some sort of a jimi hendrix biopic. I've never seen "The Psychic" so I can't really say…but it sure sounds like Richard Matheson's "A Stir of Echoes" (made with Kevin Bacon a few yeas ago).

He debunked the Friday the 13th rumor in Empire Magazine in 2005:

"What's happening with Friday the 13th? Nothing at all! It's a complete lie," he tells Empire Online. "I like Jason and everything, but I've no intention of directing a movie! New Line talked to me about it, but it was a complete fabrication, that article. I would love to do a horror film. I'm just saying it's not going to be Friday The 13th..."

He had mentioned to the Daily Telegraph (as reported by SlashFilm in 2007) about doing a "porno""

Tarantino told the Daily Telegraph that he wants to make:

“… a cool sex movie that would take place in Stockholm, with a couple of Americans visiting a couple of Swedish friends… just going out drinking, having a good time, hooking up. If I actually do an erotic movie, I’m going to have to reveal what I find sexy, what turns me on… It’s got to be kind of kinky, because that’s what’s cinematic, that’s what’s fun. Everything else is just - shagging.”

and earlier this year talked of another adaptation (via SlashFilm again):

"One of the things I am musing about doing is the trilogy of Len Deighton books, Berlin Game, Mexico Set and London Match. The story takes place in the Cold War and follows a spy name Bernard Samson. What is attractive is the really great characters and the wonderful opportunities of British and German casting."
