I like where you\'re going Nick. C - I would also add onto Nick\'s idea that maybe the objects in his office take on full lives of their own. The pencil that he uses to write in longhand gets older, so by the time it is a nub it is an old man, the pen can get pretty crazy and almost cartoon-violent (for the \'pen is mightier than the sword\'), the stapler feels left out, his good luck charms are treated like superstitious objects with no real value (perhaps they are revealed to add a significant amount to the lives of the writing objects), etc. Question is - where would it go? What happens if the company closes down, or maybe someone steals his stapler (a callback to "Office Space"). I think it was a good idea and if it were Sorkin\'ish it would be a metaphor of what\'s happening in the larger world today - more of a reliance on technology, out with the old in with the new, etc.

what if the scripts were the writers ideas. The writer was locked up in his office all day trying to write these beautiful stories but could never clearly articulate them so no one ever knew about them UNTIL the objects in the room began to write them for him. After he finds out that it\'s the objects writing the scripts he tries to tell everyone but no one will believe him, they think he’s crazy. The real story is the writer bringing the objects to life and making the world see them while the objects are doing just that; the scripts they are writing are able to show the writers world and tell the stories that he was never able to.
