‘Absolution’ Trailer: Liam Neeson Wants To Leave A Life Of Crime In New Thriller

Recently, Liam Neeson—who is 72 years old—has said that it’s time for him to step away from the world of action films. So, we should probably consider “Absolution” one of the last of its kind. 

As seen in the trailer for “Absolution,” the film stars Neeson as a man who works as muscle for a crime boss. However, when he is faced with troubling medical news, he attempts to leave the world of crime behind so that he can reconnect with his young grandson. But wouldn’t you know it, the criminal underbelly isn’t done with him yet.

Neeson stars in the film opposite Ron Perlman, Yolanda Ross, Frankie Shaw, and Daniel Diemer. The film is directed by Hans Petter Moland, who previously worked with Neeson on the 2019 action film “Cold Pursuit.” 

“Absolution” arrives in theaters on November 1. You can watch the new trailer for the film below.

Here’s the synopsis:

An aging ex-boxer (Liam Neeson) working as muscle for a Boston crime boss (Ron Perlman) receives an upsetting diagnosis.  Despite a faltering memory, he attempts to rectify the sins of his past and reconnect with his estranged children. He is determined to leave a positive legacy for his grandson, but the criminal underworld isn’t done with him and won’t loosen their grip willingly.
