Don’t go looking to the “Bad Boys: Ride Or Die” synopsis to tell you much about the movie; it’s vague as hell. However, the new trailer for the film, just released today, peels back the layers of the action franchise’s latest installment. And the latest poster tagline sums it all up: Miami’s finest is now Miami’s most wanted.

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reunite for “Bad Boys: Ride Or Die,” and in the fourth edition of the series, the Miami police detectives have been framed for the murder of their police chief, Captain Conrad Howard (Joe Pantoliano). Investigating corruption within the Miami PD when Howard is posthumously accused of being involved with drug cartels, a setup turns them into fugitives, forcing them to work outside the law in order to solve the case.
Joining them in the fourth edition, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, Jacob Scipio, Joe Pantoliano, and DJ Khaled return from the previous film, though Tasha Smith takes over the role of Theresa Burnett from Theresa Randle, who played the character in the franchise previously. New additions to the cast include Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Melanie Liburd, and Tiffany Haddish.
Here’s the vague synopsis:
This Summer, the world’s favorite Bad Boys are back with their iconic mix of edge-of-your-seat action and outrageous comedy, but this time with a twist: Miami’s finest are now on the run.
“Bad Boys: Ride Or Die” is directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the same filmmakers behind 2020’s “Bad Boys for Life,” which revived the franchise after being dormant for a few years. Written by Chris Bremner and Will Beall, “Bad Boys: Ride Or Die” is scheduled for release by Sony Pictures on June 7, 2024. Watch the new trailer below.
