Cool blog! I am really looking forward to Inception!!

I saw the premier of Greenberg at Berlinale this year. I really didn't enjoy Ben Stiller in this 'serious' role. The performance was empty and the story lacked depth. Not only did I find it very boring but it did not receive a very lengthy applause at the end (compared to other films at the festival)!

Not entirely sure if it's coming out this year, but Ari Folman's follow-up to "Waltz With Bashir", called "The Congress". Also, Luca Guadagnino's "I am Love" with Tilda Swinton, which looks rapturously beautiful.

I see that theres a lot of movies to be seen in 2010 and the beginning of the next. The prize movies to me would be the comedies and some of the touching dramas. I also like that some up and coming actors and actress aare going to be staring in these soon the be movies; I just can't wait.

Interesting list, however you guys left one out; The Talking Cure, the new film by David Cronenberg, with Viggo Mortensen, Kiera Knightly and Michael Fassbender! Add that one to the bunch! Please!

That's one stellar list, but I just have to say that Josh Hutcherson is NOT a newcomer. He was in "Bridge to Terabithia" and a couple of really good films before that.

There's no question 2010 is an electric year. This and your arthouse list prove it.

I don't see CENTURION on the list--not coming out this year, or possibly pegged for your Escapist list tomorrow? Anyway, I may be alone, but it's one of my most anticipated re. popcorners.

As for the Gainsbourg, I have to say the trailer I saw here last week looked painfully, biopic-ly conventional--I was pretty crushed, and no longer edged to see the movie.

Also, I'm very curious about "Facebook". I hear the script is incredible , and the film has a great cast.

It seems Keira Knightley has made some good movie choices for this year.

You're actually eagerly anticipating The Baster? Then you must like The Backup Plan too since they're almost identical. And between them, I think I'll go with The Backup Plan. I trust Carson Reeves if he says the script is terrible.

I would add Ridley Scott's 'Robin Hood' to this list. It at least fits in this list more than the "least anticipated" list.

Also a minor correction for 'The American' with Clooney, Thekla Reuten is playing a character named Mathilde. In the novel Clara was the love interest (being played by Violante Placido according to imdb) so unless this has changed for the film version Reuten will be playing someone else in Clooney's circle.

Have you guys read a script? The novel was really enjoyable.

you pretend not to be gross and dumb americans but you are very ascence of that. the bloggings all pretentious no substance is continuance of nihilistic destruction of art seen in robot garbage termination salivation and transformings.

but when we have some one not bekmambetov and talented you dont bother to listen. the cold war ended so you are the ones killing the cultural exchange.

It's interesting that Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland didn't make the list. Of all if his films, I think this one will be the greatest. Simply because the famous fairytale is a an especially elaborate and just perfect vehicle for the director.

I am DYING of anticipation for it.

"Love And Other Drugs" actually features on one of the upcoming anticipated pieces. Pretty sure we noted the potential great chemistry between the 'Brokeback' couple as well 😉

I agree, it is a wonderful list, even though most of these films will not be released this year. But, what is missing from this list is " Love And Other Drugs". The original script was on the well-regarded "The Blacklist". I hear this script is a fun read - it is a dark comedy ( similar to "Thank You For Smoking") , a dramedy, and a romantic comedy all rolled into one. Most of the cast is priceless: Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Oliver Platt, Hank Azaria, George Segal, Jill Clayburgh, and Judy Greer.

P.S., I was also told the nude love scenes & the great chemistry between Hathaway & Gyllenhaal will scorch the movie screen.
