Interesting article. Did not know Jeffrey Boam had written Straight Time. I saw The Lost Boys at an advanced screening and wasn't particularly impressed (the wings flapping in the POV shots of Fright Night sounded a lot more…muscular, shall we say, and the bar slaughter in Near Dark trumps anything in The Lost Boys). Kiefer Sutherland as David left an impression on me though. Much bigger fan of Flatliners, as OT as that may be.

They should remake "The Lost Boys" as "The Lost Girls" with each gender role switched. Michael becomes Michelle, Sam becomes Samantha, Star becomes Stan, David becomes Dana…
