Are people kidding? When this film opened I too was intrigued by the trailer and dutifully paid to see it. It was such a ridiculous film. Utter hokum and rubbish. Fincher has done some interesting work but this sure as shit is not it. I cannot believe the lengths that Fincher fetishists go to in order to claim there's something brilliant simmering just beneath the cheap Hollywood gloss of this tired "thriller". This tedious, brain dead and completely implausible film that looks more like a mid 1980's Sharper Image catalogue spread and reeks of yuppie self-importance is truly better off dead and forgotten. Unfortunately, The Criterion Collection needs to pay the bills and is hawking a slick new blu-ray of the film which will, no doubt, help catapult this preposterous clap-trap to "CLASSIC" status. For shame, what a bloated, overrated turkey. I cannot believe anyone seriously thinks this garbage is good or in any way important, memorable cinema.

I could be completely wrong, but I could have sworn that in one instance Micheal Douglas does refer to his brother Conrad as Connie, which always seemed odd to me, but does make sense since the characters name is Conrad. Not sure if anybody else caught that, or if I am even right. May need a re watch just to be sure.
