There's an "Anti American Hustle Camp"? Are they holed up in the Santa Monica mountains?
Lupita is certainly campaigning for Oscar - she's booked on just about every talk show the next two weeks. Jennifer is working on two movies at the same time so isn't available. When you looked up Lupita robbed on twitter, did you also look up congrats Jennifer? Personally I think Jennifer gives the far more exciting performance. Lupita only gets to play about one thing in every scene, where Jennifer maneuvers between 5-8. Also, consider this. According to wikipedia, of the 14 films previously nominated in all major acting categories, only "My Man Godfrey" and "Sunset Boulevard" didn't win at least one acting Oscar.

I think Lupita delivers a fine performance in 12 Years but I don't understand how her not winning is an injustice? Sure, JLaw doesn't really need another Oscar and her performance is nowhere near Oscar worthy but can we reserve the "injustice" talk to actual great performances like the sublime Sally Hawkins in Blue Jasmine or even June Squibb in Nebraska?

The Best Film category is still a two-race. 12 Year A Slave is the favourite, but other than Best Picture I can’t see where else it will pick up awards. I’d love Chiwetel Ejiofor to repeat his BAFTA win and take home the Best Actor Oscar. However, BAFTA likes honouring home favourites – a bit like Colin Firth winning Best Actor 4 years ago for A Single Man but missing out at the Academy Awards. John Ridley hasn’t been picking up of the pre-Oscar Screenplay prizes nor has the film made a showing at any of the technical awards.

Gravity, on the other hand, collected 6 BAFTAs and should equal that number at the Oscars. Instead of Best British Film, how about Best Film?

In the past the Supporting categories at the Oscars often throw up surprises. In 2007/08 Cate Blanchett was the runaway favourite to win Best Supporting Actress for I’m Not There – right up until the BAFTAs when Tilda Swinton took the award for Micheal Clayton. Two weeks later Swinton won the Oscar. Barkhad Abdi’s Supporting Actor BAFTA was the big surprise of the night – is he in the same position as Swinton 6 years ago?

I don't know, but maybe this is the year when the Academy awards the "big one" to a technical marvel, it happens once every while, and it's been 10 years since the last time. I have the feeling that Gravity will sweep (except with screenplay and actress)
