Kevin, you should know your readership better than to assign reductive causes to explain the collective outrage. Getting passive aggressive on Rodrigo's behalf does not make the complaints about his rampantly spoilerific review any less valid. He is perfectly free to not like the film; readers are perfectly free to take him to task for spoiling the film for them.

Some of the People complaining about the negative review were just crazy Kidman fans who didn't want yet another movie of hers to be panned.

It was not that the reviewer gave the movie a D- what made some of us get mad, it was the poorly written review he did, full of spoilers. Of course he has the right to not like the film, bet he's a movie critic, so he's supposed to argument why there were some aspects he did not like.

I don't think anyone has a problem that The Playlist didn't like the movie. It was just the remarkably infantile way that the reviewer went about expressing it, in addition to loading the content full of spoilers.

It has nothing to do with us only wanting to hear that the movie is the greatest. (I'm not sure where you got THAT from, but to each his own.) I like a constructive negative review as much as the next guy, but we sure as hell didn't get that in the review.

It just seems like people who hate this film, HATE this film. Everyone else likes it pretty well. I didn't like Oldboy, but I liked Thirst, so I still kind of want to see it. I think Snowpiercer will be better though.

I just don't like it when reviews are filled with spoilers. It just ruins the film for everyone else.
