I agree with Button, It seems like a lesser reinvention of Forrest Gump.

There are some lovely moments and it's well acted and all but it just didn't hit the spot.

Completely agree about Benjamin Button. I wish all the love this film is getting would’ve gone to the sorely overlooked Zodiac instead.

I believe those films were overrated by many. I did like most of them and did find they had value, but yes, see definition, see above.

I guess I saw Gran Torino before the public endorsed it with such a glowing box-office honor. I didn’t expect much from it, so I was ok with what delivered: which was a decent and enjoyable flick. I also read the screenplay in advance which turned out to be pretty good so i think it helped me understand the film a bit more. It was like reading the book and having more insight to it.

what about gran torino? while clint is hilarious and awesome, the script is so forced and obvious and the acting from almost everyone else is godawful. completely ruined it for me, and i hardly see anyone else saying the same thing.

Disagree with you on a lot of these, except I havent seen A Christmas Tale. And yeah, Ben Button isn’t really overrated by anyone but awards bodies. And Paranoid Park….that stings 😉
