I'll add another vote for "Support Your Local Sheriff" (great cast including Jack Elam and Walter Brennan supporting James Garner), and I'll add "Rustler's Rhapsody," which was better than expected, with some funny moments from Andy Griffith and other supporting players.

The absolute worst, the only film in the genre against which MacFarlane has a hope of comparing favorably, is "The Villain," an attempt to create a live-action Roadrunner cartoon. Kirk Douglas as the title character (who is dumber than his horse), Ann-Margaret as the local madam (just at the cusp of not being able to play those roles anymore) and Arnold Schartzenegger as the sheriff (back when he barely spoke english and his accent was impenetrable) all schlep dutifully through their roles. There are a few slight giggles to be had from throwaway sight gags in the background, but what's in the foreground is excruciating. If you saw the trailer, you saw every single second worth watching.

One film I recently watched which I think should be an honorable mention is Robert Altman's Buffalo Bill & The Indians, or Sitting Bull's History Lesson. It seems to be regarded as one of Altman's lesser works, but I still think it's worth the watch, even if for a great against type performance by Paul Newman. And as usual, Altman shines with a great ensemble cast.
