Um, Tristan, the superhero almost always limps away. In any case, never does the protected city get subjected to an environment where the villain holds total dominion over it. That was a bit of a novelty… And, honestly, that you didn\’t come to that conclusion based on what the writer said, I think the movie\’s probably smarter than you are.

It is common knowledge that Nolan doesn't have a second unit on his films so I say continue the circle-jerk! It is hilarious how annoyed people get when someone praises him in anyway.

It's amazing how Nolan is so involved in his films. He doesn't have a second unit — he's right in there in the action, soaking wet, getting dirty. Love it. That's why his films–whether you love 'em or hate 'em–are 100 percent his own.

Nolan definitely dropped the ball on this one. But it's still head and shoulders above any other non-Nolan comic book movie ever made.

"One of the many ways in which Nolan and co. turned things on their head was featuring the grand battle between Batman the villain Bane in the first third of the movie. And then having him lose". Never before in the history of cinema or story-telling has the hero fought the villain a first time and lost, before subsequently defeating him in the climatic battle. Man, you guys are really trying hard to find good things to say about that dumb effing movie.
