Completely agree with HCE. Studios wanting to replicate Marvel\’s success would do well to keep in mind that each character introduced in a standalone movie is a unique & interesting hero with their own unique & interesting mythology as well as being part of a larger, internally-consistent mythology. "More ghostbusters but these ones are guys" does not equate to unique differentiation.

Yeah all this is doing is hampering any excitement for the all female reboot. The reason the Marvel shared universe works so well is that each movie has independent, dynamic source material. Maybe G.B is going to do something really different with each film, I don\’t know, but at this point audiences might just going to see each installment as another reboot and either get confused or annoyed at the redundancy of it all. Shared universe is a gimmicky buzz-word for executives that isn\’t going to last in the long run, like synergy or something, they\’d be better to try and come up with a different approach rather than investing a ton of money into the same model that every other studio is attempting. The center cannot hold

that\’s f***ing ridiculous. Franchise is the non-word of the decade. And I had really high Hopes for the female-Ghostbusters but turns out even with this big Name in the back it\’s not enough for the shareholders.
