The movie was influenced by many sources: Beauty and the Beast, Creature of the Black Lagoon, Jeunet films and yes, Let Me Hear You Whisper.
But to call it plagiarism is ignorant oversimplification, especially when most people have not even seen the play.

Just like those claims about Black Panther being a remake of Lion King.

If this is plagiarism, what would you call Tarantino films?]]></description>
