Mamie Gummer in "Ricky and the Flash", and not just because she is Meryl Streep\’s daughter in real life. She was pretty good in the film. Andie MacDowell in "Magic Mike XXL". Ben Kingsley in "The Walk". Maika Monroe in "It Follows". All the cast from "La Famille Bélier". And why not Dakota Johnson? I think she was good in Fifty Shades. She is a good actress.

I\’d add Michael Sheen for FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD. As the constantly cuckolded man, he brought more pain and pathos to the movie than any of the main love stories did.

Brit Marling has been fantastic in every film I\’ve seen her in, especially her two breakout films Another Earth and Sound of My Voice. And you can tell she put her heart and soul into her performance as August in The Keeping Room.

Completely agree Duke. Emily Blunt had a great performance in a great role. Not many roles written for women like that so it\’d be disappointing if it didn\’t get its proper recognition (Sicario, that is).
