I mean the guy was in hangover and he is still nominated 3 times for acting…the same academy decided not to give single nomination for jim carrey or ben stiller or sandler..gave 3 nominations for this guy..so they consider them worthy…not sure who he is sleeping with but he sure is pretty influential.

There is reason why both joaquin and hawke’s movies came in the starting of the year…because either the movies werent that great or the studios behind the movies decided not to spend money on oscar campaign…given how these movies did at box office..no studio will spend 3 or 4 million to campaign for the movie
