I know there’s not much quality control in lists such as these but come on.

Absurd thing to say. Yes, ‘Winter Sleep’ was hard work, but it does pay repeated viewings. One of the best filmmakers working today along with PTA, Haneke, Zvyagintsev, Diaz and Sorrentino.
