The Sundance cut is actually listed at a 156 minutes while the Cannes cut is listed as a 150 minutes.

If the shorter cut turns out to be true, maybe they'll release the longer cut via VOD…

I was going by what @alisonwillmore of IFC said on her Twitter feed:

Hmm, @ifcfilms picks up Noe's ENTER THE VOID. The theatrical cut will reportedly be a fair amount shorter than what screened at Cannes.

I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere else too, but I cab't find it now.

Where did it say it was running in a significantly shorter cut? the Screen Daily article we initially referenced had no mention of that, but perhaps one of the trades did? Interesting…

I did kind of loathe "Enter the Void," but I gotta say I'm interested in seeing this 'significantly shorter' cut IFC is supposedly releasing. There's a lot of ambition and intrigue to be found in 'Void,' it's just hard not to loathe a film that basically devolves into utter tedium and obnoxiousness for its whole last hour.

You know, this movie is kinda like the NC-17 version of "The Lovely Bones," complete with its own neon vision of the afterlife, and a central character that observes their own life from beyond-the-grave. The ultimate insult? Both films are somehow bested by "What Dreams May Come." Ouch.
