gotta agree, the least you guys can do is watch The Blind Side. only seems fair, no?

i saw it, don't think Bullock deserves the awards that she's been getting. but she does deserve to be in the nominated 5.

@RER. It's not like anyone said the sky is falling. Or at least we didn't, but Mulligan just deserves that award so damn much. Then again, so does Abbie Cornish and as someone already pointed out, she was nowhere to be found in awards season, sadly.

But if she can win,Jennifer Lopez or Hugh Grant could be the next and Valentine's day could be nominated next year.
It's a great hope for every lazy actors.

i only saw "bright star" and "Julia&Julie"(the other movies again aren't out in France) but i was for Abbie Cornish!

As for lead actors,i was for Rockwell("Moon")or Mortensen("the road")or Jenner.

Hmm, i can't believe you guys at theplayist haven't even watched The Blind Side and yet still can write Bullock off just like that simply because her previous performances have been nothing that spectacular or because they're commercially focused. I'm quite disappointed actually to know that. I sincerely thought you guys were objective and were good objective film critics.

I think Mulligan delivered the best performance out of the bunch. However, I was even more moved and taken away by Bullock's turn in The Blind Side. But I'm not a film critic or anything but it is definitely not as if Bullock did not deserve the award at all or that she's a bad actress. That woman has charm like no other actress in the business and I believe, she somehow managed to use that in a way to captivate the audience and deliver a stunning performance.

Yeah, that's what I think but I hope you guys at theplaylist can at least see a film before putting it away just because of an actress or other superficial factors. I'm still gonna be a loyal reader though. :)

The movie wasn't my cup of tea, but it's not like Bullock was awful in The Blind Side. I think it's funny how she keeps winning these awards and pissing off people who take these awards too seriously. Sure, Carey Mulligan deserves the awards (and will win one someday,) but to me it's more fun to watch people declare the end of times just because Sandra Bullock gets awards. It makes the award season more entertaining to me. What would make this even funnier is if Mulligan and Sidibe teamed up and beat Sandra up in the alley after she wins the Oscar. They're just statues and its not like people who lose awards have their careers taken away.

I'm glad Inglourious Basterds won the "Cast Performance" award… it really shows that the movie was amazingly solid and the entire thing was great, not just a couple actors, although I'm glad Christoph Waltz won for his role as SS Hanz Landa, because we was sublime.

Bullock is definitly Oscar bound, without a doubt in my opinion

The OTHER categories worked out well...I wanted Basterds to win Ensemble & it did!

Can someone answer me why Up in the Air was not nominated for Ensemble???????????????

My immediate tweet after coming back to my computer to see Sandra Bullock won involved a black hole and world being sucked in... I think that about sums it up. Why do these awards shows get so psyched up about giving someone credit for a career of entertaining parts in mediocre films because they finally manage to go 1/5000th a step above mediocrity? Beats me.

As for the other wins. I'm good with those :)
