The Sapphires was boring, clichéd, with every chance of real emotion covered under a feel-good atmosphere. Lead actress was not very good.
The Company You Keep wasn't that bad. It had a classy, old-fashioned atmosphere that I liked a lot. But Redford was too old for the lead role.

Whoever tagged it as a companion piece to "Certified Copy" really did it a disservice, because all that does is invite reviews like this, which lazily compare the two as if they're pursuing identical goals thematically, stylistically, etc. "LSIL" is its own film, and a very good one. It ought to be allowed to stand on its own.
