There is a scene when they are standing in the rain, happens in both movies and the scene is almost identical

Totally forgot that Anderson had even done an animated flick. I'm actually surprised that he didn't mention the films of pioneering stop-motion animator Ladislaw Starewicz as an influence—particularly his 1930 animated feature The Story of The Fox. Now I'm gonna have to check out this flick—especially since I can't wait to see The Grand Budapest Hotel.

This was lovely, thank you. I could watch this movie over and over again, and it may have even pushed The Life Aquatic out of my number once spot (depending, of course, on what my mood is that day).
