“The Burial”
Directed by Maggie Betts (“Novitiate”) in her sophomore film, Jamie Foxx stars as a lawyer in “The Burial” who takes on the case of a funeral home owner — Tommy Lee Jones — to help him save his family business. Armed with his regulars such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro along with newcomers to his worlds such as the tremendous Lily Gladstone and Jesse Plemmons, the film is based on the novel “Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI.” Our review noted Gladstone as a devastating highlight.
