Especially great to see Idris Elba, Barkad Abdi, Greta Gerwig, Rush, Her and Inside Llewellyn Davies get some love. People can moan about some of the omissions obviously, but all in all I think these are a pretty good set of nominees.

Brooklyn 99 is a big surprise. The show is pretty funny, but it reminds me of Parks and Rec season 1. Good laughs, good characters, but still lots of kinks to iron out.

There are some genre mismatches I think are interesting. Wolf of Wall Street in the comedy section? It looks like it has some laughs, but Goodfellas has laughs too. I wouldn't call that a comedy. Cate Blanchett as Best Actress in a Drama for Blue Jasmine? Sadly havent seen it yet but I thought that was a comedy. Taylor Schilling for best actress in a drama for Orange in the New Black? Definitley would have put that in the comedy section. I'm sure these straddle the line with good laughs and compelling drama but I still feel like they would be more appropriate in the opposite categories (assuming for Wolf and Jasmine since I haven't seen them though)

The TV noms are bullshit, I mean Orange is the new black, drama? And where the hell are the show's amazing supporting cast, looks like it's going to be another The Wire/Treme, I mean where the F is the Treme cast when they dish out these awards. Bullshit.

Surprised Adele Exarchopoulos didn't get nominated. Disappointing, she deserved it (along with Lea Seydoux in supporting, who in my opinion, made the movie what it was).
