“Abbott Elementary”
An absolute critical darling earlier this year, the Emmy-nominated “Abbott Elementary” returns for its highly anticipated season two. Creator and star Quinta Brunson pick up where the series left off with her naive but well-meaning grade school teacher in Philadelphia who, along with her co-workers, strives to better the environment for the students with ideas that often get the best of her. The incredible cast, including Janelle James, Tyler James Williams, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Lisa Ann Walter, and Chris Perfetti, all return.
Release Date: Season two premieres September 21 on ABC.
“Andor”
Disney and Lucasfilm continue to churn out “Star Wars” television series, this time with “Andor,” a prequel to their film “Rogue One.” Created by Tony Gilroy, the series follows Cassian Andor, the thief-turned-Rebel spy, five years prior to the events of the film, as a Rebel Alliance forms in opposition to the Galactic Empire. Diego Luna reprises his role with a supporting cast that includes Adria Arjona, Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Fiona Shaw, and more.
Release Date: Season one premieres September 21 on Disney+.
“Ramy”
Ramy Youssef returns for the third season of the comedy series “Ramy,” as the series continues to follow the lives of the Hassan family, as they deal with day-to-day struggles stemming from work, dating, and their status as Egyptian immigrants in New Jersey. Model Bella Hadid joins the cast in her acting debut alongside Laith Nakli, Hiam Abbass, Amr Waked, May Calamawy, Mohammed Amer, and Dave Merheje.
Release Date: Season three premieres September 30 on Hulu.
