i like that early DiCillo work as well (Johnny Suede highly underrated; Box of Moonlight, no so much though).

I hadn’t heard of the Doors documentary until now. I’m a big fan of early DiCillo ( Living in Oblivion, Box Full of Moonlight, Johnny Suede) though some may just consider him a poor man’s Jarmusch. Lately he hasn’t been near the level of his first films (Delirious tried, but failed), but I’d be interested to hear why he chose this as a project. I don’t hate The Doors as much as most self-annointed rock critics (I’m talking to you Jim Derogatis), and I find Oliver Stone’s film on the band one of the more enjoyable biopics. Thing is, it seems as though everything has been told about them and all footage has been seen. I wonder what this doc is supposed to bring to the table?
