When you are used to being loved for nothing, it is hard to get loved for something. About the only one who I can see making a successful return is Sam Worthington.

Worthington was appreciated by most of film loving fellows I knew in that lousy Terminator film, stealing the scene away from the shouting leading-man Christian Bale.

People might — might! — buy prefabricated, manufactured hype for a very short while, but then they get hip, get wise and drop the "next big thing" like a hot potato. The discovery and subsequent anointing and ascension have to be purely organic, or it will never work…, ten-plus cases in point.

The headline was something like "Julia Ormond's Trip Through The Hollywood Star Machine", while the even more knowing title of the article inside was "The Conception, Production and Distribution of Julia Ormond".

She's a gifted actress and has found her place as a successful character actress, but she got a push as big as anyone on this list.

Meanwhile three of the five American actors listed got their big breaks back in the 1990s. The trend too hire foreign actors to play Americans in big film roles is not an accident. Its all part of the economic war on Americans also known as globalization. Hollywood union busts by outsourcing TV & film production to other countries such as Canada, or Right to Work Southern American states. They hire non-American talent to prevent donations to the Democratic Party.
